Hello everyone,
I just want to thank everyone on the Carpark forum for giving me lots of advice and giving me the confidence to push forward.
My situation is this, im 36 years old, single no mortgage. Parking ticket invoices were issued in 2014 2016 and the 3 most recent in 2020.

Lenders do lend when people have CCJs, people have relationships, get married and have children with CCJs.
I've a CCJ for under £5k and recently completed my purchase.
The parking forum are helping you with the tickets, so what help do you want here?
When do you want to buy a home?
Do you have your deposit ready?
Have you spoken with a good whole of market mortgage broker?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Paying off the ccjs would help if not already paid. Many lenders who accept ccjs would want them settled1

To avoid high interest rates settle the Ccj's, wait until 3 years post settlement and options will open. Before then it is possible but you will be looking at adverse lenders with higher rates

The ccj from 2014 will soon drop off your record. You have applied to have 3 set aside. If they are set aside they are expunged from the records.
That leaves one ccj. What are you doing about that. I'm assuming it's the 2016 one? If it is then that too doesn't have long before it drops off the records.1 -
First of all, ignore the credit score as it's not seen or used by financial institutions as they have their own internal scoring algorithm which uses the credit history content.
Secondly, ignore the people in your area as they are talking out their bum!
My CCJ was paid by instalments and finally settled about 5 months before I went for a mortgage. It falls off my report at the start of next year.
I've other historical debt issue's and picked a broker who posts on MSE who specialises in adverse history, but has more non-adverse clients and also gets a lot of clients mortgages with normal lenders. He was there for me from the moment I posted until I got the keys. What was also nice is he has looked at my details since completing and said when I should be aiming to remortgage to a better lender. Non-judgmental, honest and open and I don't hesitate to recommend him. ( @ACG )
As it's a year or two before you want a mortgage, there's absolutely no harm with finding a good broker, keeping in touch and going for a mortgage when it's the right time 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Can I get some clarity on this if I may. Once a court makes its decision and let’s say as your situation it went against you, you have up to 28 days to pay the costs before a CCJ is entered against you. Why didn’t you pay these off in time if you knew you were going to be applying for a mortgage?
Just looking to understand your position better that’s all
Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.

It's in the opening post. They went to an old address so weren't discovered until recently.fackers_2 said:IloveElephants said:I've a CCJ for under £5k

I see. That’s such a shame that happened, I really feel the way courts communicate need a huge overhaul, should have been able to have been contacted in another way before it got this far.
Hope you’re able to get on with things and not be penalised ILoveElephants!Always find comparables. You can ask, but you won’t always get what you want.

Thank you Natalie, yes I could pay them but the reason for me challenging 3 parking invoices from the same private company is because the letters were not sent to the correct address and this is how I am in this situation to begin with, Thank YouNatalieAGC said:Paying off the ccjs would help if not already paid. Thanks Waamo, yep thats the plan to get 3 ccjs set aside, its costing me money but imo well worth it, as the 3 ccjs are all from the same parking company and in the same week for overstaying at the supermarket car park by 10 minutes.waamo said:The ccj from 2014 will soon drop off your record.
