Broken lock button on Vauxhall Meriva keyfob

Hi,
So, the lock and unlock buttons on my keyfob have been really loose (car is 9 years old), but yesterday the unlock button on it totally came off and luckily I found it on the floor.
How can I replace this please? Is it easy to do? Do I just need to buy a new plastic case and swap parts from this old now broken one or do I have to take it to the local Vauxhall dealer? I have read about a locksmith being able to do it, but then the blank "key" stick part needs cutting and then "coding" so the electrics work.... hope it's not that complicated.
Luckily I have the spare flick knife spring type spare key (3rd image), but need this main key fixing.
Thanks in advance.

New case readily available on Ebay for just a few pounds. If your not confident I believe Timpsons will repair but obviously at much greater cost.1

I never did fix it, and now the unlock button on my other blade key has come off.
This sounds like a reasonable replacement job. Anyone else done it?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m8-p_X-FcY

Usually pretty simple, the complexity comes with some where the RFID chip for the immobiliser is embedded in the case and is difficult to get out and move across without damaging it. Looks like in this case it is all on the main board so not an issue.
Provided the micro switches are still working then just get some new cases and swap over as per the video.1 -
Thanks, I currently have to press a pen refill into the gap where the unlock button should be and touch the black "micro button" on the circuit board to unlock the car.
I must look right dodgy standing by my car doing that! Will get some new cases and try following the video, cheers.0
