Harvey’s & V12 finance

Not sure where we stand now Harvey’s are in administration. Ordered sofa back in January and still waiting for delivery. Want to cancel don’t want a sofa with no guarantee etc. Problem is we have signed for 0% finance with V12 and am worried we will still be liable for the finance as agreement signed back in January. No payments have yet been taken and no deposit was paid. Anyone know where we stand on this? Thanks 😊

I believe you should contact the Administrators to try to cancel the furniture. It's probably unobtainable now anyway. Once the Administrators confirm (in writing) cancellation of the order then the finance company will enable you to withdraw from the agreement.0

We're in a similar position. Called helpline yesterday (1.5hr queue). Told delivery date now October, but cancellation and deposit refund allowed. Also offered 15% discount if we continue with the order. Down side is there will be no manufacturer warranty to cover 12m manufacturer faults, although we did take up the separate insurance accidental damage warranty option when purchasing. Currently considering the pros and cons.leahjessica said:Not sure where we stand now Harvey’s are in administration. Ordered sofa back in January and still waiting for delivery. Manufacturer warranty is over and above consumer rights so don't be hung up on that. CR are against the seller, or if you have finance then also against the finance company under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. SO if you go ahead and anything goes amiss, you can pursue the finance company instead of the seller (if they've disappeared).0
