If you are dedicated to sorting your finances out and getting on your feet, don't go and buy a car on finance that has ridiculous monthly payments and APR that you can't afford. You can get some great used cars, as long as it has 4 wheels and gets you from A to B then that's all you need. As for credit building, get a credit card dedicated to credit building, a sim only contract make sure you always have the money to pay your bills on time and with the credit card try to pay it in full every month. Before you know it your history will start looking good and as time goes on you will be offered better products. It doesn't happen overnight it can take a while but it's worth it for your financial future.0

Some excellent advice already given. The default and missed payment accurately reflect your credit history. The credit score is a fictitious number designed to sell you credit improvement products: ignore it. Lenders cannot even see it. What matters is your credit history. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
