How many viewings in first week?

Options
Our house has been on the market a week and we’ve only had a couple of viewings.
I wondered if people think that’s normal or not many?
I’m unable to post a link as I’m new to MSE but if you search ‘sleights, north Yorkshire’ on Rightmove ours is the first property to show. (4 bed detached). If anyone has a moment please could you have a look and please feel free to give any advice or criticism to make sure we’re on the right lines! Thanks in advance.

I think that's pretty normal. Most estate agents aren't showing anyone around unless they are actually proceedable which cuts down the number a little.

Just had a look, is it the modern built 2007 one? I think it's lovely, nicely presented. The only thing I would say is that I think it's a shame the Estate agents didn't get you to move all the coats and boots out of the lovely hallway before pictures. But then again, at least it shows what you can put there. I wouldn't worry just yet. We are on the market too, first week after lockdown, we had 2 viewings and it's been steady since then. We've had 3 this week.

Did you ask the EA how many prospective buyers that they had on their books when listing the property?

I got none for the first month. Was overpriced, dropped price and had 6 in the last 3 weeks and one offer which was rejected but then withdrawn due to chain anyway. Got another tomorrow.
  • Thank you everyone. And @Thrugelmir no I didn’t 😬 that’s a great question though. We haven’t had a sign put up yet so when I call about that today I’ll ask. Thank you.
does anyone know how relevant it is for EA to have posts on social media accounts about it? Maybe they don’t generate interest 🤷🏻‍♀️
