Just signed contracts ready for excjange for both my sale and purchase, just wondered how long should it take to complete now, any chance before xmas do you think?

when you properly exchange both parties agree on a completion date.
if you have not exchanged and just signed contracts then it could be anytime as nothing is legally binding AFAIK.0 -
The completion date is normally put into the contracts when they're exchanged. You and the seller should agree on completion when you exchange (via your solicitors).
No reason why you can't complete on the day of exchange - and yes, before Christmas is viable. But it's as much to do with the seller as it is the buyer.
