Depends how into the covid you are, at present you know you don't have it, a prospective buyer could, transfer it to the car or paperwork and onto you. The rest is the common sense and vigilance you need to adopt when selling or buying a vehicle.

Keep things in perspective. According to ONS recent data:

"We estimate that an average of 1 in 2,200 individuals within the community population in England had COVID-19 at any given time between 14 June and 27 June 2020"

"Of those individuals providing blood samples, 6.3% tested positive for antibodies to COVID-19 (95% confidence interval: 4.7% to 8.1%); this equates to 1 in 16 people or 2.8 million people in England."

How lucky or unlucky do you feel?

You don't take them for a test drive. They leave their own car keys with you, or something else of importance as a security deposit: passport, credit card? Obviously, you need to verify that they are insured to drive it.
If they seem dodgy on arrival, then decline the offer of a test drive.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Not quite. He can only know he has no symptoms. Yet.

    Thanks for replies,
I was wondering if it would be ok if we both wore masks and gloves.
i have not had symptoms myself, but i could be asymptomatic, i have not had any test.
i have been advised not to let anyone drive the car unless i have proof that they are insured; i would not be comfortable with someone driving the car without my being present.

Whether you're present or not, you need to be sure they're insured. Apart from the possibility of an accident, you would be liable for 6 points and a fine for "causing or permitting" an uninsured driver.
