Hi all!
This is my first post here so please be kind!
I have some Edenred Compliments Vouchers from work that expired on 1st July. I tried to use them the week prior to the expiry on Waterstones website but found that it wouldn’t accept the code. I looked on Edenred’s website and it turns out that these vouchers almost exclusively have to be used in store. Stores have been closed until very recently so that’s not been possible, and I don’t feel comfortable using public transport to go to the city center and visit the physical shop. I’ve searched Edenred’s website and there is absolutely no mention of COVID anywhere, so no mitigations for the expiry date that has now passed. A few days before the expiry I contacted Edenred directly through their website form as there is no phone number. I’ve heard nothing back and the vouchers have now expired. Have I got any recourse to object the expiry date considering I was unable to use the vouchers at a physical store and tried to contact the provider before the expiry date? I just don’t understand why there’s no announcement anywhere on their website about this???
