I'm not sure how long it takes as I've never used it.

Does anyone use Google Checkout on ebay?

No because it's banned on ebay but it can be used on other auction sites like Ebid. It can also obviously be used on personal websites and such like and I assume the OP is using a non ebay place to sell his items.

  • I find with Google Checkout that payment is to your bank account aprox 1 week afte the payment is received.
As for using it on fleabay your not allowed to advertise it as a method of payment as far as I can recall the discussions on it a few months ago. Something about it not being an ebay authorised method of payment, but more like paypants being owned by fleabay and them being a bit protectionist and not liking the competition from what is in essence a better payment method with less fees.

  • Thanks, i looked far and wide online and couldnt find an answer.
According to google its safe to ship once the buyers card has been charged, so thats fine by me. I trust them more than paypal.
These were actually for ebay purchases.
Once the item has ended or items have been BIN'ed from my shop or listings i email them with a choice of payments(advising against pp due to its both buyer and seller hazards, LOL). Had 1 person ring me about it the other day, and liked google very much.
Out of all my listings, about 60% pay by paypal, and the other 40% another method, oncw they have received my after purchase email some are happy to pay via other methods.
suits me fine as i save on fees, or should i say save on fees going to ebay!
i would use google over paypal even if the fees were higher, which we all know they arent going to be.
  • oh yeh just so you know i dont offer google on my listings just "other electronoic payment methods"
