HI taxi. Blimey, what a saga, but it's good to know the man from the hire firm is honourable. It will be a nice lump sum when you get all those missed earnings back.

Hi Seaxwyn..I'm getting over it now...lol...DH and I were discussing things earlier and we've agreed that every penny we get from loss of earnings and his injury will go to debt...with the recession about to hit I think this will be the best idea.
The man from the hire firm phoned this afternoon to say that he was changing the car over to a brand new one this thursday so here we go again....lol...I just filled the tank in the other one this afternoon!!!!...ahh well....

    Debt-free and Proud!
Good grief - you couldn't make it up could you?! Can't believe still more problems for you - but soooo pleased that someone is finally taking responsibility for getting it sorted and it sounds like you will at least get some compensation - though am guessing you will still end up out of pocket :( - but at least not as much.
Good plan to pay it off the debt- I am doing that with my expenses. Trying to pay for the costs from my standard budget then using the expenses when they come in towards the debts. Doesn't always work but every little helps.

Hope there are no more problems and you get your new car soon.

The director has phoned me back again and the new Octavia is coming down tomorrow having a meter fitted then going over the pits at 9.20 am thursday then going to the meter place and having that meter took out and all of my system put in from the hire car that I have at the moment....they will then put fuel in and deliver it back to me!!!!!
BUT get this I get to drive a BMW 1 SERIES FOR THE DAY.....I have nowhere to go really but will have to give it a drive as it's the only time I will get to drive a BMW...I can feel posh for the day...lol....how good is that?.....my new car(own) will probably arrive next week but I'm not rushing to pit it.I will do it when the cheque is on it's way.The hire company have said I can drive the Octavia until I'm sorted anyway.
