Help with divorce fees

Hi, my 'wife' and I have been apart over 5 years now. I have no savings and I get child tax credits.
I am starting divorce proceedings but have been declined help towards the £550 court fee.
Due to my bankruptcy (which ended 3 years ago) my credit rating is shot.
What other options do I have, regarding paying this £550? I have no savings and barely any dispoble income as I live alone.
Is there any more assistance I can claim for? Can I pay it over instalments?
Thanks in advance.

Sadly, it's one of the things you need to pay yourself.
Legal Aid, or whatever it's called now, is only available in very limited circumstances for family matters and I believe only where DV is involved.
Unfortunately, the £550 is to start the divorce and then there are additional fees after that.
It's not possible to pay by instalments.
You will need to save up or hope your wife will start them off.
Do you have family or a very good friend who could assist?

Is there a reason you need to divorce now? Just conscious if you're on benefits and limited income there's very little to be gained from it.0
