Fraudulent activity of Paypal

i have recently had a fraudulent act committed on my Paypal account whereby someone hacked the account, took the money and then closed the account.  i have tried to contact Paypal, however they currently do not have a Customer Service element and therefore have been no help at all.  i have reported this to the Action Fraud line and am awaiting a response from them but would like some help in what i can do if possible.

thanks

You could try facebook or twitter to contact them, they are saying on Paypal to use the 'message' facility re unauthorised transactions etc but replies will be delayed.

Action Fraud is a bit of a misnomer as they're just a reporting and awareness-raising service, so if you're expecting them to do anything to help you here then you're going to be disappointed, as explained at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/what-is-action-fraud:
When you report to us you will receive a police crime reference number. Reports taken are passed to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. Action Fraud does not investigate the cases and cannot advise you on the progress of a case.

You need to continue your attempts to pursue this with PayPal, as they're the only ones who can help....
