AIR INDIA Return ticket refund help

Hi can anyone help.
My return flight ticket (via Air India) from India to UK on 22/3/2020 did not get used due to lockdown. At the time local Air india office saiid date has moved to April and there was lockdown in April too. I could not get hold of them since.
I returned via the chartered flights in May at single ticket price of £549..00. I have tried but cannot seem to find out how best I claim for the losses.
The trip was booked via Mytrip.com ( just found out it's based in Sweden !) and their site has no clarity re how i can claim refund from this specific airline.
Air India have been bouncing me between "contactus@airindia.in" and "ecommerce@airindia,in" ? Even tried calling the UK OFFICE!
Paid via debit card so cant claim as i would have been able to if i had used credit card.
Travel insurance have refused claim stating "your claim simply do not fall within the accepted criteria, under any of the sections of cover, and as a result the insurance will not be able to refund you for the extended stay", even thought they were happy to provide travel ins cover whist I was stuck over seas.
Do I have any options or right under the circumstances that i can pursue?
Appreciate the help.

no point in chasing Air India as you booked with MyTrip so they are the airline's customer and the ones that will receive any refund due. They should then pass this on to you (probably less whatever service fee was in their t&cs when you booked)
Concentrate your efforts on dealing with MyTrip for a refund on the unused portion of your Air India flight0 -
Thank you Caz3121 will focus on My Trip.
I wonder if any one has tried to claim for the same against Mytrip, IN specific to AirIndia claims?

Of course you can claim on a debit card. But you are limited to a chargeback only, not an S75 claim. But, even with a credit card, you should start with a chargeback first anyway. Whom the airline is is irrelevant, your claim is against the provider of the ticket. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Did you get any success @spkdar? I have a similar problem but through Flight Centre. Air India hasn't refunded them yet. Wondering if there's an overall problem with Air India's ability to refund?0
