Am I responsible for companies fencing?

Hi please can someone advise.
I paid for fencing to be delivered and they delivered it to my front garden as agreed. However it is not the fencing I ordered and company have accepted this. They will deliver the correct fencing in two weeks and collect the other fencing...however when I expressed concern that it may be stolen in the meantime from the front garden they have said this would be on me as I "accepted" it. I didn't sign anything and told them straight away on the phone it was the wrong fencing. Any thoughts?

If you were at home and took delivery then you have accepted delivery. I would move it to a safe location for you own peace of mind.

Looks like you have become an involuntary bailee.
Google those bold words and discover that you need to look after the goods as if they were your own.0 -
