When & What to claim

Hi there... this is all so confusing and its so difficult to find any definite answers!!
I was made redundant at the end of April but was paid 13 weeks of PILON so whilst my P45 says my employment ended on 30 April I was paid 3 months notice to the end of July. So when can I start to claim anything? At this stage I'm not looking for work as my partner is shielding so I also would need to ensure I can work from home which would not be easy with a new job and I always intended to take a career break of a few months, but do I need to register myself as being out of work from an NI/Pension point of view now or do I wait until the end of the PILON period.

You should have started a claim as soon as you received your P45.
PILON doesn't extend your period of employment.1 -
cheers... so it is from the end of employment date listed on P45?0

Thanks again... I tried unsuccessfully to find an answer on the gov.uk website re PILON & nothing has really made any sense... wish I tried this sooner.
