You just need to be aware that what suits one person won't necessarily suit another, so don't rush out and buy huge quantities of anything. I tried a hemp product once and it made my hands itchy - see if you can get a small pot or try a sample.

  • All brilliant suggestions...for a tiny person, try aqueous cream slathered all over and covered with one or two sleepsuits (vest as well if need be, depends on weather) and left overnight. Should hopefully stop the moisture leaving the skin and will be absorbed more slowly than a thin layer rubbed in.
You can get industrial bucket sized tubs of the stuff on prescription.
  • Hi have just recently been provided a new type of garment for children with eczema, my daughter loves it. It has no seams, fits really well and has helped her alot at night. This is a new company called www.skinniesuk.com they are on prescription.

    Hope this helps

Make sure you test on a small area first - some people react to aqueous cream when it is left on for a long time.

Not come across those before, but I know that Tubifast garments are available as well.
  • Hi

My baby had nasty ezcema and we used a Hydracortisone cream with minimal steroid in, it was a lifesaver.

She is 3 in September now and we still have it as she gets it a little bit on her wrists and ankles but its true when they say some babies do grow out of it I never would have believed it but it did happen

  • We tried many things to deal with our daughter's severe baby eczema and found whilst there is no magical cure, some things did provide relief. Eventually after nearly 3 years, her eczema has subsided considerably. Eczema clothing has made a massive difference, as it's reduced her scratching and allowed her skin to heal. We still the specialist pyjamas to this day. We also tried various milks, from buffalo and goats milk to soya milks, homeopathic medicine, allergy testing, wet wraps, all of which helped in their own ways.
