There are three levels of membership. I wonder if this one is only for paid members?

I have signed for the free on and it lets me log in but then keeps coming up with the banner to join, yet I have entered others in here, strange

Same as others - registered as member but comps (all that I tried) say I need to register as member...
The paid level of membership lists 'competitions' as one of the perks of that level - so suspect that, as Monkey_Chinchilla suggests, the comps are only open to paid memberships.

Edited to add:  Pressing Escape removes that pop-up and allows you to proceed.

I think it's a glitch with the site, I was able to enter all the comps yesterday as a free member.
