I have brought a new 5ft fluorescent strip light and on unpacking it I see it has no starter thing. It takes T8 bulbs. I thought they all had starters in them, will this make any difference?
Thanx

No, most of the new low energy fluorescent strip lights do not have seperate starters now.
They are an all combined unit, eg starter is an electronic circuit inside the choke (Choke is the rectangular thing that you would see inside if you opened the front cover).
Do not worry it's ok, will work fine. The more I live, the more I learn.
