Nationwide illustration.

We submitted our mortgage on Friday just gone. We received yesterday our mortgage illustration what is this? It does just explain about payments etc. Does this mean we've had our credit checks? As it's not showing on our credit score. We're just awaiting valuation booked in I guess..

I think it's just - literally - an illustration of what the financial deal would be if approved. Ie, it isn't yet an offer.

I have not used Nationwide since 2013 so might be out of date. We went with a broker and they came back with 15 mins saying we had been AIP'd. The broker following this sent us all of the key facts info and illustration documents. We had to submit a few documents to the broker - bank statements and wage slips. We had a valuation a week later, and got formal mortgage offer a few days later.
  • Thankyou. It's been a nightmare so far.... Taken us over 20 days just to submit the application because of the backlog. We are going alone as they wouldn't offer 95% through a broker. Now they've pulled them mortgages but honoured ours as we were through the process. Our aip was referred and checked by the underwriters apparantley this is good for the application.
