British Gas refusing to cancel switch

I recently tried to cancel a switch to British Gas because the t & c prevented me from getting free boiler cover
I emailed the cancellation form to the address provided, they replied that the address is unmanned
I posted the form to the address provided, they replied that they dont reply to postal enquiries. They had to open my letter to get my address.
I rang their number several times, no option to cancel, other departments cut me off when I ask to be transferred.
I tried live chat several times, they cut me off.
The Ombudsman wont intervene until 8 weeks has passed
Despite my current supplier objecting for me, BG have taken over my electric. My current supplier has raised an 'erroneous transfer', still waiting to hear.
Anyone else had problems?
