Returning from sick leave

I am currently on long term sick leave since just before lockdown. Not Covid related. I am still receiving full salary. I feel I may be able to return in next couple of weeks. Part of the company are furloughed. Will I be entitled to furlough pay? as I have obviously missed the dead line.

No as you have already said you have missed the deadline. So you go back to work as normal.

Deadline has been and gone. You will be expected to return as normal if you are fit enough to do so.
  • Thanks, but I’m unsure if they will require me back or if my ‘position’ is furloughed. Any advice please.

What other advice would you like? You can't be furloughed because the date for them to be able to do that has gone.

You go back to work as normal. Then it is up to the employer what they do and what your contract says. If they need you no issues. If you are contracted to a set number of hours and they can't afford to pay you and you have a lay off clause they could lay you off unpaid for a bit. If you do not then basically unfortunately it will probably have to be redundancy,or you could agree to a temporary cut in hours yourself if you think the situation is going to change in the next month or so.
