Small business rates help

I run my business from my small salon in my back garden would I be eligible for the £10,000 help small business rates help?

    As above are you registered for business rates, if no then there is no grant.
    Is there any overheads to running it from home?
    Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
    Quit day job to run 3 businesses 08/02/2017
    Started third business 25/06/2016
    Son born 13/09/2015
    Started a second business 03/08/2013
    Officially the owner of my own business since 13/01/2012

    Yes, if it is your only business property and you pay business rates for it. You would probably be eligible for Small Business Rates Relief too.
    My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.

    These grants were distributed months ago. I suspect the salon is not on the rating list. It would have to be eligible for SBRR to qualify for the grant (re previous post). There is a discretionary top up fund, but this has probably been used up by now:

    Even discretionary payments require the tenant to show they have a formal lease and are paying rent to a landlord.  Not easy if you own the property you operate out of.

    Not necessarily, it is up to local authorities, but I agree that they are unlikely to favour this sort of application.
