Hoseasons services not offered, can I get a refund

We have a lodge booked with Hoseasons for mid August. A large reason we chose the location was the swimming pool, outdoor and indoor play area, restaurant and bar. The updated page says that all these will be unavailable until 31/8 even with the change in Government guidelines. As this is materially different would we be entitled to a refund?

Possibly but have you enquired ?

I haven’t as yet but wondering if others think I have a claim. The website is not useful. If it had been for accommodation only without the other things I know we couldn’t.

I would think this is a 'significant change' to what you booked, therefore, you should be eligible for a refund. Does depend on what you paid and what the terms and conditions stated when you booked though.  If for example, they stated amenities were subject to change etc.   If not,   Take shots of what the pages are telling you.   Things could change in August but if you have confirmation of what they are telling you now then I think it is reasonable to expect them to refund.
