Car tax renewal: Am I losing out, or missing something
I have just renewed my car tax online today (30/06/20) as it was due to expire tomorrow (01/07/2020... obviously).
I was only given the option to begin the tax run from the start of this month (1st June). Surely I am losing a month of tax here having already paid for it in last years run?!? Checking through dates of the the previous 3 years of tax I paid: August 2018, July 2019, and now June 2020. If I pay for a year in August 2018 surely the tax would cover July 2019 and renew on 1st August 2019, to be paid again in July 2020, to renew 1st August 2020; ad infinitum...
Am I losing a month of tax every year, or am I missing something really !!!!!! obvious?

Did you use your V11 reminder form?1

You are doing something wrong, but without more info on how you renewed difficult to know what, although not renewing using a renewal code on a V11 is a likely reason.0
