So far, no other documentation have been requested. I understand they don't ask for Bank Statements but may ask for additional payslips. After we submitted our application online, we received an email within 48 hours with the link to upload documents. Apparently, it is only after application is complete (i.e. with documentation uploaded) that it then progresses to 'review' stage, followed by underwriting/valuation to offer.0 -

I chased my welcome call and advisor rang me this morning with the details. I'm feeling a lot calmer (probably because I'm now dealing with an actual person rather than getting irritated with a website!) and looking forward to the call next week.

As an update for anyone in the HSBC process I had my call today. It was straight forward and I was surprised to hear I was accepted subject to valuation - I had been bracing myself for underwriters as I had read other threads where others were having to chase and chase. So far so good - valuation next!!0

Hi All,
Anyone has any more recent experiences? We are FTB and applying for a 90% LTV on their website. We got the DIP but is now asking us to book a 21 hours appointment before even being able to select a product and upload documents. First appointment available is 9th of Sept.Trying to understand how long it would take after the appointment to get an offer? Many thanks.0 -

Things on here suggest it can be a quick turnaround but all depends on your situation - valuation/your income. I'm expecting mine will be longer as I've got a complicated income but someone who could easily afford it could get approved straight away acording to valuation.0 -
9th of September?! Wow, that timeline has got worse. It all depends on your personal circumstances. You have a higher LTV than us but if you're both employed, in solid jobs, have a clean credit history, and are well within affordability, I've seen people on here have their offers on day 10.
We've submitted an 80% LTV application with HSBC on 13th July and are in the 'self-employed queue' for final underwriter. I'm employed with a lot of commission and my partner is both self-employed and employed with variable income. We're not a straight forward case but are FTBs with a clean credit history - we're pushing our affordability limit a bit in asking for what we've asked for but we've passed the underwriting assessment stage and have been passed to final underwriter so we must be close to getting what we want.

I know my application was mid July but I was told I had to have a zoom appointment because anything under 20% deposit I couldn't go non-advised. Product picking therefore occurred during the zoom appointment.0

Thanks for your reply. I think the online booking system works similarly like Ocado deliveries after lockdown, keep refreshing the page and you may get an earlier slot. Managed to get one in a weeks time since I wrote the post. Spoke to a really helpful agent after and he thinks it will take between 3-4 weeks until final approval. Fingers crossed!
