MOT Extension and Driving Abroad (France)

Hi,
My MOT is extended until December 2020, and I am due to drive my car in France in mid-August. As you are expected to have your MOT certificate when driving in France (which shows it as only valid up to June), could there be any problem i.e. would my car need an MOT beforehand?
I see that, in France, they have done similar extensions with their MOT equivalents, so I am hoping all will be fine, but just picking brains to see if anyone knows for sure!

Garages are open, remove all doubt and go and get the MOT done.0

For the amount it costs for an MOT certificate I would get it done before you go! Gives you peace of mind because it only gets expensive IF there are problems with the car and I am sure you would want to know about them if you are contemplating a long journey?0

Just get it done now.0

And its not a freebie, its delaying the inevitable. Also what if there is currently an issue with his car that an MOT might pick up now and then it flares up whilst hundreds of miles from home in a different country?0 -
Thank you, I will get the MOT done then. The car was only serviced last week, so unlikely to be any problems, but I will get the MOT done anyway.
