What is the valuation of the property?
The mortgage lender agreed with the value we are paying if that answers the question 🙂 not had any problems with them under valuing or anything like that

    Well done?
    According to your earlier post..
" My take is that it probably isn`t even worth 200k with the way things in the economy are panning out, be very careful unless you don`t care about negative equity."
..OP is paying £50k more that your considered valuation of this property.

Yes, but it could have been 70k, and they sound like they really wanted the property.
Surely you’re not suggesting a house is worth what someone is willing to pay for it ?

I`m suggesting it wasn`t worth what the seller wanted for it, and the OP did the right thing by bargaining instead of running around to find money from relatives or somewhere to make up the price, which seems to be the advice given on here a lot?
