Ryanair Flights booked for August 2020

Hi,

My family and I have flights booked from the UK to Malaga for the 10th August 2020. Our flights are still showing as scheduled to fly. Due to the current circumstances I would prefer to re-schedule our flights for the following year (to let things die down a bit). Ryanair are trying to charge me £536 in total (which also includes a ridiculous price of £60 for changing our luggage to another flight time which I just do not understand! Their website states high season changes online cost a maximum of £60pp each way but they’re trying to charge me £90pp each way for two adults and two children, my husband is possibly going to be made redundant so we just don’t have this extra cash atm. Does anyone think there maybe a ‘miracle’ and they end up cancels our August flights this year please?

Thank you in advance.

I would'nt call an extension to the virus / pandemic a miracle? in terms of getting the flight cancelled. At the moment flights are opening up to Europe etc.

Assuming the flight goes ahead, any charges will be in accordance the the terms and conditions Ryanair set out at the time of booking.  Unfortunately, unless you can show that the charges are counter to their T&C there is little you can do.  Ryanair are not noted for their customer focussed operation.

Thank you both for your help. ess0two I was in no way stating an extension to this awful pandemic would be a miracle, I was talking about a miracle of Ryanair changing their flight schedules and possibly putting customers first for a change.
