Hi all,
hope you are well. Unfortunately lost my account details in the big mse switchover but have been on these forums for 10+ years now!
Anyway, we have a package holiday booked through loveholidays due to depart on 28th July to Tenerife. We put the deposit down in December/Jan and we got seperate insurance in place with traveltime. We declared exisiting conditions etc, particularly as my partner is undergoing immunosuppressive therapy at the moment. We have paid almost 2.5k so far with the final balance due in a few weeks. My partner has obviously been shielding since march as well as her condition worsening throughout that time and despite travel restrictions being lifted we feel its both too risky to travel and because shes really unwell at the moment...it was our first holiday with the kids and also a celebration of me completing my degree..
I know we're probably unlikely to get anywhere with loveholidays as i have been constantly checking my booking which advises me of the FCO advice regarding travel but was wondering if i had any chance whatsoever of getting any of our money back and how to go about it.
Thanks so much

If your partner's doctor can confirm she is unfit to travel, it sounds as though you have an insurance claim. You will need a cancellation invoice first from Love Holidays and that may not be so easy to obtain but before you do contact your insurers to confirm what they need for a valid claim1
