If I'm buying a new car (cost below 30000GBP) and pay the deposit on credit card. If when I pay for the remainder of the car, should the company disappear with the money and leave me with no car, would i get all my money back via Section 75 ?

You have s75 protection for purchases between £100 and £30K regardless of how much is paid by credit card.

Thanks, I just want to confirm that it would cover me should the dealer go bust or vanish with the remainder of my payment after I've paid it by bank transfer and before the car is delivered ?

Just confirm this is a private purchase - not one done through a business or for a business.

Yes it'd be a private purchase of a vehicle from a business

Section 75 protection holds the card company equally as liable as the merchant in the event of breach of contract or misrepresentation, so, yes, if the contract is breached by non-delivery resulting from liquidation (or anything else) then the card company is on the hook to reimburse you.

If you are that concerned over the dealership going bust then buying somewhere else seems to be your best option.

Given that you will only be paying the balance when picking up the car (or should be) then it's not a issue.
