EasyJet - only outbound cancelled?

This is an odd one. I have return flights with Easyjet departing on 17th July and returning on the 26th. Neither flight has been officially cancelled with me yet but when I check the Easyjet website, the outbound flights are no longer accessible or on the schedules leading me to believe it's cancelled. My problem comes that the inbound appears to be going ahead. So if that's the case Easyet could theoretically cancel my outbound but not my inbound flight leaving me stuck and not being able to claim back the money/get a voucher for the inbound flight.
I'd be happy to re-book for a couple of weeks later with EasyJet but I don't want to use the free flight change system they have because these flights cost circa £500 return for us both and the new flights are much cheaper meaning I'd lose hundreds of pounds (their T&Cs say they wont refund the difference)
The whole thing is crazy as they wont tell me the flight is cancelled even though it looks very likely it is! Does anyone know if Easyjet would have to refund me for both flights even if one isn't cancelled? Both are under one booking.I'm guessing other people travelling over coming weeks will be in a similar position.

If both flights are on the same booking then they have to refund the return flight as well as the outward one if one is cancelled.1

I have a similar issue on the same dates. Has anybody received any email confirming their flights have been cancelled as I need this evidence for a refund on my Airbnb booking?
I have also booked a car through EasyJet, if they cancel this flight will they refund my car hire too?

I expect the flight to be cancelled around a week before departure. Frustrating that it already seems to have been cancelled but they won’t confirm to us until just a few days before.0

I have had my outward flight to Alicante on 18 July cancelled but not the homeward leg on 30 July. Does anyone know if the home leg is still valid?0
