    Yes, some cats do like (lactose free or otherwise) milk, and that's not usually a problem with very active outdoor cats.  However, older/ indoor/ spayed/ cats don't need the extra calories, so water is best for them.
    Mind you, that doesn't stop furry madam from trying her luck with an unattended cereal bowl !
