I have an annual travel insurance policy valid until October. If I drive to France on 3rd July when FCO advice is not to travel and then FCO change travel advice on 6th July to allow travel - will my travel insurance be valid from 6th July or will it be invalid for whole trip.

I suspect the latter since you chose to travel against FCO advice but the only sure way is to ask your insurer, after all you will be at their mercy if you have to claim
