Hi all , due to medical issues following a road traffic collision , I have had to surrender my driving licence.
Im trying to work out the financial cost of this as part of my claim

Haven't you got a solicitor helping you with this? Not an ambulance-chaser, a proper solicitor? I would have thought that if you have medical issues arising from an accident that was not your fault, you ought to have legal advice to help you. It's probably not a good idea to DIY.0

If you've been injured, you really should be employing a solicitor, who would help with this. In the meantime ....If you need to drive as part of your job, you could claim the cost of a chauffeur.Otherwise, work out a typical week's journeys and price up the use of taxis0

You may also be asked to prove the expenses you're claiming too.If you need to drive as part of your job you'll lose your job if you can't drive and you can't be moved to another role in the company as an employer isn't going to employ a chauffeur nor are they likely to let you use one in a company vehicle so you'd claim for loss of income.

Hi all , thank you for the input. Yes I do have a proper solicitor . I am unable to use public transport , both medically and the fact that there isnt any where I live .The taxi costs are astronomical .Its £20 to the local town and £80 return trip to the big shopping centre. Thats without the loss of being ble to nip out to the shop , see friends etc. I was trying to work out how best to mitigate any loss.0

You need to calculate your quantifiable losses, which should be simple enough. Not for what you might have been able to do if you could drive.
Your solicitor should be giving you the necessary paperwork and guidance to enable you to work out your claim. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
