Gotogate/Flybe chargeback

I booked flights only on my credit card via gotogate with Flybe before the collapse. The flights came to under £100 so contacted my card issuer to commence a chargeback, from the looks of my latest statement this has been rejected as it has re appeared on my statement as a re-debit. What should be my next step, presumably I should contact my card issuer again (easier said than done atm) and if it has been rejected claim a chargeback again? If that again gets rejected do I have any further ways to proceed? many thanks

Ask your card company why the chargeback was rejected - on the face of it there's no reason for it to be disputed, as it should be obvious that the service wasn't provided if the airline collapsed. What communications did you receive from Gotogate at the time?0

Banks frequently refuse chargebacks for claims made against GotoGate who appear to be uncommunicative except to their own bank when facing a chargeback! The difficulty is they are only an agent, not the supplier of the service and can, therefore, argue they did everything they were paid to do, make the booking and issue the ticket. You really have nowhere else to go unless you had airline failure cover in a travel insurance policy so keep going at the bank0
