TUI holiday refund well overdue for cruise holiday

My first post so please be gentle with me  
Are there lots of other people still waiting to be contacted by TUI for cancelled cruise holidays?
we were due to sail on 1st May for two weeks. I have heard nothing from TUI, I’ve made dozens of phone calls to them and can’t  get through. Eventually after weeks of trying, I spoke to someone who told me I had to wait for my Refund Credit Code. She said as I booked in store there was nothing she could do without the code. A friend also booked in store but got a refund with this code. What’d going on   
Would appreciate any advice

Hi Poppmacher123, we hadn't booked a cruise but a big family holiday to Florida and we should have travelled on the 18 May. Still heard absolutely nothing from Tui.  Tried social media, they just direct you back to the website and the phone lines, not very helpul! Finally managed to get through on the phone lines who told me that as my holiday had been booked through a third party (Funway Holidays) they would have to contact them.  I didn't know we'd booked through a third party, I paid TUI so I think Martin would say my contract is with them.  Of course they promised they would ring me back but they haven't.  Trying again I did manage to get through this morning and they are chasing it up, at least I know I am on the radar which helps a bit!  Keep trying on the phones, you can get through now but it's a 15/20 minute wait.  Try at different times, I got through at about 4.50pm on a Friday afternoon.  I'm so cross they are only offering a Mon-Fri 9-5 service when everyone else is working their pants off to try and help their customers, I will not be re-booking with TUI.

I had family due to sail with tui end april/start of may. They were initially offered a credit note but the cruise they were going on only operates once every few years so they asked for a refund. Can't remember when they received it exactly but it was more than 2 weeks ago!

They send you an e-mail with the code on it and then you apply for the refund on their website.  Lots of the e-mails have ended up in junk mail so check there.  They are in the process of refunding/rearranging nearly a million holidays so its taking time!
