Hi there - we have a holiday booked for 5th July to Spain. The holiday has not been cancelled yet - and we have received an email from RyanAir telling us to book our seats! We can also check in. However -if official Foreign Office advice is not to travel until 6th July, we will not be insured - is this correct for the entire holiday or just one day?

PS I purchased travel insurance way back in January.0

Ask your travel insurance company ... it's the only way to get a 100% certain answer.0

If you can't fly out on the 5th due to current FCO advice, then it's logical you will be covered for the entire holiday... but yes contact your insurer to confirm. They should speak with you now as your travel is imminent.0

My son also has holiday booked with OTB due to depart on 5 July. No notification as to what is happening it looks like it’s going ahead but the FCO advice is still only non essential travel. Not sure what he should do?

Speak to your insurers, also keep an eye out for the imminent update regarding holidays as that alight change everything anyway.0
