Unused credit cards - keep or cancel?

Sorry I realise this is probably an idiotic question but I’m looking for some absolute clarity.
I have 3 credit cards which all now have a £0 balance - all paid off yay!
I intend to keep one just incase of any emergency purchases and I also spend a small amount on it each month and pay it off in full to keep my credit looking good.
My credit score is excellent.
The 2 cards I am debating cancelling have £12000 availability on them which obviously I’m not going to be using any time soon. Hopefully haha.

My question is if I cancel these 2 cards will it have a negative impact on my credit file?

I’ve read conflicting information as to whether it’s better to keep open or not. I really would like to cancel them but don’t want to have negative effects.

Many thanks in advance.

If you only have three cards, keep them all.  Use each at least occasionally and clear in full. Use one as your main card for everything.

Show lenders that other trust you and indeed that you trust yourself.
