Does Halfords still sell and fit parking sensors?
Options
As per the title really. I have been calling them for last two days and literally no one answers the phone in the shop near to me and I cant find any info on website and google search returns only some articles from 2013.
I need front and rear and I have been quoted so far £250 which I find excessive. I believe Halfords was much cheaper

They have temporarily closed some of their less busy stores. Have you tried HQ?0

https://www.halfords.com/motoring/services/motoring-services-halfords.html shows as a service they are not currently providing.

£250 fitted doesn't seem too bad - it's not a plug and play job, wiring needs to be run etc which isn't really a quick job.0

£250 isn't excessive. No doubt it can be done cheaper but, as above, it's nowhere near as simple as drilling 4 holes and plugging in. Running the wires can be a pig in itself depending on the model of car.0

What makes you think £250 is excessive for front and rear sensors?0

No-one from Halfords would be coming near my car with a drill.

So lets say it takes a professional roughly two hours to do the job. £50 an hour sounds about right for either a mechanic or auto electrician. That leaves £150 for the front and rear parking sensors and control unit. Sounds fair to me.0

Have a look and see if there’s an auto electrician in your area, I have used one to fit a dash cam recently, his website says they do parking sensors ect, I would imagine there’d be something like that where you are, worth a try,0
