Need to do some housework today, will wizz over the kitchen and give the lounge a good clean. Dinner tonight is a pastry pizza thing with salad, we call them flambe's but we are not even sure where the name came from
Will get the dogs out at lunch time and then have a rest on the sofa I cant seem to get enough sleep atm.

Good morning all! Weather can't make it's mind up, sunny, raining, cloudy, windy, we've had it all in the last couple of hours. Tidy the garden in between showers today, then maybe make a start on the house, followed by a visit if the weather is dry later on. I cooked last night [ been avoiding doing that for a bit] and it was a bit hit and miss. I have a mound of potatoes to get through so I made a potato, chese, onion and spinach pie [ more of a mash in a pyrex really] and that was really nice, there's enough of that for at least tonight, wih carrots in a parsley sauce and pork steak things in a mustard sauce. There are enough carrots for tonight as well, so I've just taken some shoulder steaks out of the freezer to go with that tonight. I like those made under the grill so the fat crisps up. Can't stand flabby fat on meat. I also made a banana cake/loaf/whatever for OHs mum. That was a bit of a disaster. When I finally managed to get it out of the tin this morning, not cooked underneath. So I've also taken some frozen bananas out and will remake that today and put the original one back in to cook some more along with a loaf of bread I think. So that's my day pretty much sorted. Didn't do much over the weekend because of rain, got soaked watering the greenhouse even though I was filling the watering can from the safety of the greenhouse and just nipping in and out to fill and empty. I squished blackfly on the beans, weeded and did the seedling shuffle outside because something had been eating the basil and hyssop, so there's not much of the latter left to pot on. I had a monster aloe vera plant that was very sorry for itself so I watered that in the hopes I could transfer the babies but the sun got it and now it's a very weird colour and it may be destined for the compost bin if it doesn't perk up over the next week. I put the yucca outside for it to enjoy some fresh air and that still needs a new pot...TA, enjoy your day out, we have an outlet here, I only ever go in the kitchen shops and occasionally the shoe shops. Gers, rest up! Nels, you have a load of chickeny goodness in your future! And blimey, a thief who wants to tidy? Odd. Hope it's a good brush for your sake! Ruby, if you need sleep, then sleep! Nanny, had to laugh at electrical gadjet Mr Fix It. Can you not entice him in by saying you don't think it's working properly so could he test it out a few times?
dumpling, I love a kashmiri curry too, now I'm salivating..no breakfast yet... bella, makes sense, hope the freezer is more useful! camelot, enjoy your flatpacking! [I love a good flatpack session] . Hey all reading along, hope it's a good one on Mixed up weather Monday...

So I have caved in and ordered more mealworms 😂 I have informed Mr & Mrs Robin that they will be here either Wednesday or Thursday and to please be patient 😬.The most exciting my day will get today is a trip to B&M to get some glasses for the garden bar...
Have some mince in the fridge which will need using so I am thinking shepherds pie for dinner now that the weather is so much cooler, does anyone else crave vegetables after living off BBQs and salad?
Will also give my parents a call to see if they need anything.Have a good one everyone!46,484 > 0(January)
