NatWest agreement in principle - proof of decision?

I am going to reserve a new build property and the developer has asked to see my AIP.
I have just completed one online with NatWest and all i get is a message on the website “great news you could borrow xyz”. It doesn’t confirm my name or address so easily could be faked!
I was actually expecting a pdf or something more formal - i remember getting one years ago with Halifax.
Is there some other verification that the developer can get hold of?

Are you sure you didn’t just do the mortgage calculator rather than a decision in principle? As a mortgage calculator will just say “congratulations you can borrow xxx”.Did it give you a reference number? Maybe you can call NatWest and they can issue something more official. Or are they your bank....is it something that shows up if you log in to your profile?0

The mortgage calculator deosn’t ask for your name or DOB etc so I definitely did the right thing. I also got an email from them We're pleased to provide you with an Agreement in Principle for a mortgage on your new home.
i don’t bank with them but i can login and there is nothing to download0 -

Does that email confirm how much they're prepared to lend you? If so that sounds like the 'document' that the developer wants.

Yes but it doesn’t detail where the deposit is coming from0 -
