DFS Sofacare - is it worth it?

I've just ordered a sofa in store - it's a nice one so ended up costing nearly £1000 but I chose not to go for the 'sofacare' 5 year policy protecting the sofa from accidental spills and damage as I had already gone over what I wanted to pay. I think she said it was £130. Is it worth it? She mentioned that they do something to the sofa to protect it but I can't find any evidence of that in the leaflet or online. I guess I could just make sure my next home insurance policy covers it?
I'm just worried as it's a fabric sofa and I tend to eat / drink on the sofa quite a bit - if I spilt anything would it go straight through to the cushion underneath?
Thanks for your help.

Check DFS reviews on their insurance and see if there have been any issues claiming on it.
Accidental damage for everything in your property via house insurance will generally be far cheaper.

You can buy the stuff that they spray on for a few quid & do it yourself.

We went for this (against my better judgement) but it's been worth it's weight in gold.
They subcontract it to a cleaning company. If you spill something on your sofa, you send a picture to the company and tell them what it is you've spilt, they send you cleaning fluid to try and fix it yourself. If that doesn't work, or you would need more than the small bottle they send you, they'll just send a professional cleaner around to do the job. There's no limit on the number of claims you can make - we've had about 8 bottles of the cleaning fluid, and someone come out three times over the last 3 years (we have lots of parties...)
If they ever can't make it perfect again, they'll make it good in some other way, which the contract says could be a brand new sofa (though I've yet to test this, obviously).
I'm going to try to work out what the fluid is they send, it's a little miracle worker. I'm wondering if it's some kind of controlled chemical, as they are quite stingy with how much they send.
When the 5 years runs out I'm going to keep the name of the company on file in case I can deal with them direct in future.
