Hi all
I'm tarting up my kitchen & want to change the edging strip in the cabinets to a dark grey colour.
The current strips are 19mm but I cant find any coloured ones that are 19mm (apart from white).
I'm looking for the self adhesive / iron on type.
Can I just buy 22mm strips and trim them after they have been stuck on or am I just looking in the wrong places.
I can buy 50m of 22mm Anthracite Grey Strips for around £18 - £20.

1. You can trim them to size after fitting.
2. Can be done with a very sharp plane, or with great care, with a very sharp chisel used as a skew plane.
3. You can get laminate trimmers to do the job (e.g. Stanley STHT0-16139), or a trim bit in a router.

Or a Stanley knife.
Just make sure you work towards whatever the edging is stuck onto & not away from it.

I'm not sure but somewhere in the back of my mind I vaguely remember that I was told you cannot put iron on sticky trim on top of old iron on sticky trim.
But I could be wrong.0 -
