Howdy!
I'm not ranting about the above . Honest 😹!
However, I'm seriously thinking of doing so . The only thing I've really found useful about Facebook  is having a moan at poor customer service  when purchasing stuff etc . The point hits home far easier these days .
Anyway , I have a couple of questions about doing so  :
1) I haven't updated my email address since I joined . ( actually I was signed up by the receptionist back In 2005/6)when I was working somewhere  Will this be a problem?
2) If I did quit Facebook , can I still use messenger ?
In summary, I find messenger handy . For example , I'm in isolation and mr trainer gives me  live video workouts on a weekly basis .
Also, if myself and a few friends want to meet-up etc it's handy for that at times .
Sorry one more question: Is it a long drawn out process to quit ?
I also have an observation that one of my Facebook friends ( hate that term🤮. Think of someone that I haven't seem since last century) has a account but not in his name ..just a name he made up .
Believe it or not, the only other social media I use is MSE😼
I have been using Facebook a lot more since August last year ,and I cannot be doing with it anymore .
Horses for courses 🐴
I'll leave it there ..😼

    1) It wont be a problem to close your account, as long as you know your login details.
    2) Yes *EDIT If you deactivate your account, rather than deleting. *
It is not a long process to close the account.

My apologies, you can if you 'deactivate' Facebook. Which removes your profile from public view, but still keeps everything on their servers (but deleting your account probably keeps it on their server still anyway).
