Travelling in car with Mum

It seems everyone can do a lot more soon. I visit my mum every Saturday. Can I take her shopping in the car yet?

 I'd take the view that so long as your mum is comfortable with it, why not

It seems pragmatic to take your Mum out - it will do her good if she has been restricted to home and a very local area to be out and about.  The travel choices are then:

• walk / cycle
• public transport
• taxi (if they are operating)
• private car

To go any distance, private car is probably the least risk.  To maintain the maximum 'social distancing' that you can, if you are driving and Mum sits in the back seat on the passenger side, that is probably best.
