Thank you for the advice
if i dont get asked about withdrawling loads of money to gamble,
surley they will notice when they go through all bank statments.

If debts are due to gambling, then you will have to disclose this as the Official Receiver is obviously going to ask where £8000 went for starters.

The examiner asked for 2 years bank statements and browsed them looking for something that jumped out.
If asked obviously answer truthfully...I repeat if asked...0 -

The interest there is basically can the OR recover that money, ie is there an asset that can be sold, or was this to repay a debt(which OR can seek to reverse). The OR will also want to satisfy themselves that it’s not hidden away as a wee post bankruptcy nest eggFlyright said:If debts are due to gambling, then you will have to disclose this as the Official Receiver is obviously going to ask where £8000 went for starters.
Sounds like your only option is to be upfront and tell them, I wouldn’t wait on the off chance they won’t notice, if it was £800 they might not but £8k they will0 -
So you are probably looking at 6/7 year bankruptcy restrictions extension and, according to a previous post, you lied on your loan application/s, so the OT will make a criminal referral for obtaining money via fraudulent means. You should prepare yourself for that.0

I was made bankrupt in January. I gambled a little (nowhere near the amount you have and not in the addiction bracket) I was honest on the forms and with the OR he was really lovely and didn't judge.
I'm concerned with your replies because you haven't yet acknowledged that if you go bankrupt your wife will still have to repay any loans that are in her name too. If it's any of the large loans and you're planning on leaving her (I think that's what you meant by separate earlier) then she will probably need to go bankrupt too.0 -
Minky You have not sed it on purpose but you have made me feel terrible like im going to prison or something
well obviously if thats the case i cannot go down the bankcruptcy route

If you choose to go down the bankruptcy route, just be honest, it's not worth having something come back to bite you on the !!!!!!, I have a 5 year BRO due to gambling whilst insolvent.
It will only really affect you if you plan on running a company within that time frame.0 -
