would everything disappear sorta speak after 12months.You are normally bankrupt for 12 months, after which you are discharged, and you are released from any and all liability for your debts. The accounts will still stay on your credit file for another 5 years after discharge, but all default dates must be no later than the date of your bankrupcy, so on the 6th anniversary, everything will vanish, including the bankrupcy. You may or may not get an IPA/BRU they are at the OR`s discretion, as is the length of time they will apply for.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. As far as you are concerned, your debts should be written off at the 12-month point.
Obviously you don't flag up what you said earlier about lying0 -
Ahhh
really really torn what to do0 -
Do i tell the truth gambled money online
and withdrew alot of money to gamble n that0 -
The Official Receiver will have access to all your accounts so it will be apparent if you have gambled online. You need to be upfront and honest with the Official Receiver as you will be asked about the credit you incurred. Any joint debts will pass to your partner to pay if you go bankrupt.0

No one whose ever gone bankrupt, when asked by the OR the reasons why, has ever said because i paid my bills on time and was great with money, except tongue in cheek maybe. The OR already know`s you have been through the mill of life and mis-fortune, they are not looking to blame you here, they just need a reason to put down on the form, simpley term it as "exceptionally bad life choices" and let them work out the rest.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. At least you can pay the fee without further credit!
You always get sound advice from sourcrates. I'd add one thing...
Answer questions honestly but only answer the questions you are asked. What I'm saying is don't volunteer information that no-one is asking for.1
