Hi all can anyone please advise how to remove tile adhesive from around a toilet without damaging the toilet.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Tile or adhesive? For the latter the only way is to brake it off in small pieces or scrub with some small tool. Where possible you can drill it with a masonry drill bit.0

Both, I'm not too worried about removing the tile just the adhesive. I will try that thanksgrumbler said:Tile or adhesive? For the latter the only way is to brake it off in small pieces or scrub with some small tool. Where possible you can drill it with a masonry drill bit.0 -
just break the tile first, then removing the adhesive won't be a problem.

A small cold chisel should be enough to break it up. Work downward starting at the edge of the tile and work your way towards the base of the pan. The adhesive is unlikely to be stuck too well to the glazed surface, so it should just scrape off with an old screwdriver. To remove the last vestiges of adhesive (assuming it is a cement based tile adhesive), brush some brick cleaner on and then wash off with water with some bicarbonate of soda mixed in - Wear goggles & marigold type rubber gloves when using any acid such as brick cleaner.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
