Netgear Wireless WG111T Not Connecting

Hi, I have a Netgear DG834GT router and a Netgear WG111T USB wireless adapter. Both of which have worked well for quite some time. I have updated the firmware on both, but now I can not get a connection from the computer using the wireless adapter. On the smart wizard, I get a green closed padlock but no IP address, just 0's. I triple checked that the SSID name and the WEP key is identical. Can anyone help?

it usually means your encryption key/type is mismatched

use wpa-psk/tkip instead, far easier, and more secure.

I have selected wpa-psk/tkip in the router set up page and a network key is generated. However, when I click apply, I get a pop up box that says "Unknown Error". Any thoughts?

try typing one in, 8 characters.

Using 8 characters has worked on the router set up page. I have entered the key into the wireless computer, but I am still having the same problem. I have tried it with my lap top and that has connected OK.
