Greater Anglia Season Direct Refund

Greater Anglia have told me they will not refund my monthly season direct train ticket by paying back into my bank account even though that is how I pay them. They want to call me and ask me for my card details over the phone which I don't feel comfortable with. I know fellow commuters who have had the refund paid into their bank so don't see why they can not do this. Do I have any official come back with this?
